Biondi-Santi is the creator of Brunello di Montalcino and an ambassador around the world of Italian fine wine. From its first vintage in 1888 to our days, Biondi-Santi has continued to make a Brunello famous for its elegance and extraordinary longevity.


Where we started from

It all began from the need to imagine and create a unique rite in the world of fine wine that would celebrate each year the launch of the new vintage. The goal of Biondi-Santi is to get its lovers involved through a universal tool capable of travelling everywhere.

What we did

La voce di Biondi-Santi is the big communication project that puts together music, literature, art and conversations so that a selected community of collectors, wine lovers and friends gather around the brand, inviting them to “Listen carefully” to the immortality of Brunello di Montalcino.


Listening and story telling are the focus of the strategy designed for Biondi-Santi. Each year, on top of presenting the new vintage, a new story is born in which wine is the main character together with the brand’s values. Among the pages of the limited edition books, there are QR Codes that open the door to a secret online platform where Biondi-Santi spreads its Voice through an audiobook and a podcast.


The heart of the communication project is the short novel created by writer and journalist Elena Dallorso in the first volume and writer Gianni Farinetti in the second. Two narrators – in Italian, actor Neri Marcorè and in English, American Tomas Arana – transform the short novel into a story for the ears, to listen to with your headphones.


Around the audiobook a series of conversations in the shape of a podcast. They are born in the Biondi-Santi Salon. A digital and physical space where CEO Giampiero Bertolini, and Technical Director Federico Radi talk about the theme of the year together with Akin Spirits like Orchestra Director Beatrice Venezi, and Eike Schimdt, the Director of Gallerie degli Uffizi.


On a night full of conversations, voices and music, the editorial project turns into an event in the Biondi-Santi Salon. Year after year, it welcomes journalists and enthusiasts in a different location in Milan, London and New York, to present the new vintages of Brunello di Montalcino.
